· At the national level, the activities of education and health programs are typically monitored, managed at the Ministry level. National ministries of education and health have significant needs in information management, resource allocation, and communication with regional, district, and local clinics/schools. The Foundation will work with those Ministries that have program needs in the above-mentioned areas.
· At the regional and district level, resource allocation requires strong information management, and strong communication with schools, clinics and communities. The Foundation will work with those Regional and District offices in Local Governments in improving their ability to address the aforementioned needs.
In the health sector, the Foundation provides and supports programs that:
- Benefit and improve the physical and mental health and well-being of children;
- Benefit and improve their social, emotional and cognitive well-being;
- Develop models to improve the management and delivery of programs that serve the health of the disadvantaged.
ADGF will leverage the knowledge and expertise of one of the founders who is a physician and has developed innovative programs to increase access to health care, including the usage of technology to provide tele-medicine services to needy and underserved areas where medical services are scarce.
· At the national level, the activities of health programs are typically monitored and managed at the Ministry level. National ministries of health have significant needs in information management, resource allocation, and communication with local clinics/schools. The Foundation will work with those Ministries that have program needs in the above-mentioned areas.
· The Foundation will work to strengthen Local Regional and District health management, to achieve sustainable benefits.
The Foundation will work in partnership with those nations, districts and municipalities in servicing populations of Orphans & Vulnerable Children, Children in Labor (rather than in school), and refugees.
ADGF will support the mainstreaming of children who are migrating from work situations into schools. This will be done directly with government and local government sectors, as well as in partnership with other NGO's who are working to achieve this goal.
Recent reports continue to describe the significant challenges that nations/ districts face in absorbing and mainstreaming refugee populations. Those nations that have been receptive to receiving refugees, have often experienced severe stress on their education and health sectors, stretching the usage of already precious, limited resources. ADGF will provide support to the management of the influx of refugees, and will provide tools to stentghen the efforts to mainstream underserved youth into their new communities and schools.
As a result of the Founders' relationships with many District managers in several countries, programs can be implemented to support individual schools and health centere in those districts.
At the individual school level will be those that support:
- Children’s health;
- Nutrition programs – for many children, the meal provided at the school level is the only meal that children will have during the day;
- School infrastructure (making schools safe for children)
- School & Classroom management;
- Teacher training;
- Community Engagement.
· At the School or health clinic level, the Foundation will support the different needs working with providing services directly to the stakeholders and individuals (students, teachers, patients, doctors and health clinicians), as well as managing the individual school or clinic.
Developing ICT skills is one of the areas in highest demand for youth, the public sector and communities in the developing world. The Foundation will build on the founders' experience in having:
- Designed and executed ICT training programs in 12 Sub Saharan African countries, as well as India and the middle east;
- Implemented training programs under sponsorship from some of the largest U.S. technology companies, including Microsoft, AMD, and Cisco;
- Been selected by USAID and other Development Partners to train thousands of educators and their stakeholders on the usage of ICT.
The Foundation will leverage the expertise and relationships developed with ICT companies, Development Partners, and client Government sectors and their stakeholders to extend ICT training to address priority needs and programs.
The Foundation intends to obtain funding to develop training programs in health and education in communities in Africa and India. Those who will be trained will include:
- youth to enhance their job and employment opportunities;
- public sector participants such as teachers/ school leaders, district education or health officers to enhance their ability to be more effective in their work.
